Don Bosco Quiz Competition – A Day of Learning and Fun

On 31st January 2025, Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Lonavala, hosted the much-awaited Don Bosco Quiz Competition, an event aimed at enriching students’ knowledge about Don Bosco’s life and legacy. The competition, meticulously planned by Teacher Alfia and Teacher Priyanka, was conducted in classrooms by the respective class teachers during the 5th, 6th, and 7th periods for students from Class 5 to Class 9.

The quiz comprised multiple engaging rounds that tested students’ understanding of Don Bosco’s teachings, contributions, and historical significance. In addition to the quiz, fun and interactive activities such as crosswords, word searches, and puzzles were provided to reinforce their learning in an enjoyable manner.

To encourage creativity, students from Class 5 to Class 8 were shown a picture, which they had to sketch on paper. Meanwhile, Class 9 students were assigned a special task—to write a code on the same sheet in a calligraphic or creative style, merging artistic expression with logical thinking.

For the Junior College students (11th Arts, Science, and Commerce), a special session was arranged in the AV Hall during the 5th period, where they watched an inspirational movie on Don Bosco, allowing them to reflect on his impact and values.

The program concluded at 12:00 PM, leaving students not only more informed about Don Bosco but also engaged in activities that made learning enjoyable. The event was a resounding success, with enthusiastic participation from students and the dedicated efforts of the organizing teachers, making it a memorable and meaningful experience for all.
