DANCE COMPETITION

Feel the music Feel the beat!    

The inter-house dance competition entitled ‘Feel the music feel the beat’ was organised at Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Lonavla, on 9^th August 2024. Mr. Prashant Tiwari, Ms. Siddhi Oswal & Br. Pranit Konkya SDB were the judges for the competition.
The participants for the competition were divided into two categories viz. the juniors (Stds. V to VIII) and the seniors (Stds. IX to XII). 

The dances had to draw inspiration from the various cultures of India. Thus, in keeping with the theme the Yellow house presented the Punjabi culture, while the Blue house presented the Maharashtrian culture. The Red house showcased the Gujarati culture and the Green house presented the South Indian culture. 

The competition commenced at 10:50 a.m. in the down hall, with the two categories of students performing in succession. The participants left the judges impressed with their mesmerizing performances. At the end, the judges expressed their views on the competition. In particular, Ms Siddhi Oswal enthralled the students with her dance performance.

The winning houses were awarded certificates by the judges. Following which, the principal Fr Ranson D’Souza SDB, expressed his views about the program, and congratulated the winners.  A vote of thanks was proposed thereafter by Master Nathan D’Mello which brought the event to a close.

The competition was organised and coordinated by teachers Kiran and Pournima. Its aim was to encourage students to work in teams and to provide them an opportunity to showcase their talent by participating in the dance competition.

For the record, the winners of the competition were as follows: 

Juniors Category: Stds. V to VIII 

1^st place: Blue House

2^nd place: Yellow House     

Seniors Category: Stds. IX to XII.

1^st place: Red House

2^nd place: Blue House
