Annual Day 25-01-2025

The Annual Day of Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Lonavla was celebrated with great pomp and splendour on January 24, 2025 and January 25, 2025. The Chief Guests for the two days were Shri Ashok Vasant Sabale, the Chief Officer of Lonavla Municipal Council, Lonavla and Shri Dinesh V. Ranavat, the President of Vidya Vinaya Sabha of Gurukul schools and the President of the Association of Practising Engineers and Architects of Lonavla and a Member of the Committee of Experts appointed by the Honourable Bombay High Court. The captains escorted the dignitaries to their seats after which everyone prayed together by reciting the Lord’s Prayer. This was followed by the singing of the School Anthem. The students then extended a warm welcome to the entire gathering through a song and dance number. The Rector, Fr. Blany Pinto formally extended our profound wishes and greetings to bring forth the warmth of our affection through the stream of love by formally welcoming the gathering. This was followed by felicitation of the Chief Guest by the Rector and the Principal, and was followed by the address to the audience by the Chief Guest. After this the Guests of Honour (the parents of the toppers of the SSC and HSC board exam) were felicitated by the Principal. Thereafter our Coordinators felicitated all the priests of our community for their dedication and loving service. This was followed by the felicitation by the Rector of the entire team who directed the musical for the Annual Day. Then we had the Prize Distribution Ceremony followed by the presentation of the Annual Report by the Principal. After that a ten minute break was given to the audience so that they could refresh themselves. We embarked on a musical journey by presenting an opening song and dance number “Chasing Dreams” celebrating the visionary spirit of Don Bosco, who at the tender age of nine, dreamt of a mission that ultimately came to fruition. The audience then sank into the depths of music, song, lights and joy as the musical “Dreamscapes” unfolded itself. 

 It was indeed a splendid musical extravaganza. The Principal proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
