“Young Brains in Action: Don Bosco Lonavla Students Shine in Thrilling Quiz Competition!”

Lonavala, September 4th, 2024– Don Bosco High School and Junior College hosted a dynamic three-day General Knowledge Quiz Competition from September 2nd to 4th. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students across various classes, divided into four school houses—Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow—each competing for the top spot in their respective categories.

The quiz kicked off with students from classes 5 and 6 on September 2nd. After several rounds of intense questioning, Green House emerged victorious, showcasing their quick thinking and sharp knowledge. The next day, classes 7 and 8 competed, with Red House triumphing in a closely contested quiz, proving their expertise in a range of topics. On the final day, September 4th, students from class 9 took the stage, where Blue House secured the win with their outstanding performance.

The competition was designed to be both educational and engaging, with five interactive rounds covering subjects such as sports, current affairs, science and technology, culture, and folk traditions. To further involve the audience, special rounds were introduced, ensuring everyone present could participate and feel the excitement.

Preparation for the quiz began well in advance, with a comprehensive question bank being shared with participants on August 17th. This resource helped students revise important topics, contributing to their success in the competition.

The event was smoothly coordinated by teachers Alfiya, TPriya, and  Priyanka, who ensured the quiz was conducted fairly and efficiently. Their efforts, along with the enthusiasm of the students, created a lively and memorable atmosphere.

The General Knowledge Quiz Competition not only tested the students’ knowledge but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie within the school community. The event was hailed as a tremendous success, celebrating the intellectual potential of the students while reinforcing teamwork and school spirit.
